  • Yeah, Russia, the country that invaded, couped and otherwise subjugated the majority of the world, the country with almost countless military bases around the world, the country of Native genocide, chattle slavery, gunboat diplomacy, three letter agency destabilisation, etc etc. You’re dipped head to toe in propaganda, my friend, you just don’t know it but today you can begin to learn. So no, there’s no comparison, the closest American historical peers are the British and French empires, and then Rome, I guess.

  • “The Thick Of It”, if you wanna cackle. It’s three seasons (under 10 episodes each) and a TV movie. I recommend watching it with subtitles, especially if you’re not a native English speaker/not accustomed to the many accents of the British Isles. If you’ve watched Veep, it’s quite similar except much better in all aspects, lol.

If you don’t mind animays (and, for whatever reason, you haven’t watched this masterpiece… the shame!) and are competently literate, I also enthusiastically recommend “Legend of the Galactic Heroes”. It explores the “honourable philosopher king” autocracy v. “decaying, corrupt, aimless democracy” issue, and the character arcs and very realistic reactions and interactions are just chef’s kiss. 👍

  • Not only does the “relationship” have no future, as he won’t go against the wishes of his racist family, but if I were you I’d feel insulted and used. He knew all of this in advance (he knows who his parents are and what they think and what his decision regarding this would be too) and he still went this far with you? Let’s just hope he’s immature and pre-PFC development, else he’s just plain evil. Come on, V… and, btw, every man has a dick, stop focusing so much on the sexual aspect of things. I know you’re young but there’s no point in wasting time and accumulating mistakes and bad experiences just for the fun of it.

  • Don’t beat yourself up too much… just keep things in mind to make some small changes when possible. The kids are here already, there’s no going back, but you can go forward, despite the hardships, in a way you can be proud of, right? (I know, I know, it’s unsolicited advice, but it comes from a good place. ✌️)

  • Read the Qur’an.

PS: Actually, nah. I wouldn’t say anything, I wouldn’t want things to change (I did kinda date another Muslim qt before I met my now wife and I didn’t agree with the religion conversion cause I was an atheist at the time, plus other details, so things fizzled out), I’m very pleased with my life despite the hardships.
