Well, I live in Europe and in my and in neighbouring countries it works overall flawflessly. Cars usually stop at pedestrian crossings, without anyone having to carry flags, warning lights etc.

Is this some kind of joke I don’t get? Just have a law that pedestrians on crosswalks have priority and introduce a hefty fine for cars not stopping. Works flawlessly in other countries.

As others already pointed out: the additional context information. So while I probably got the initial idea of the photo, adding the information that this crown was from the louvre heist, added a new layer of information. Now I could also laugh about the probably unintended joke that he tried to steal his royality back. It just makes the photo so much more interesting.

As a non blind person I really appreciate these alt texts/image descriptions.
