Not The Onion@lemmy.world•Microsoft gets tired of “Microslop,” bans the word on its Discord, then locks the server after backlashEnglish
0·4 days agoIt’s normal to just meet people where they are at on all the various platforms. As long as you can pipe everything back to customer data platform increasing scale through multiple social platforms has almost no downside and pretty minimal cost.
It’s a good perspective. People get daunted by big goals like home ownership that are really just 20-60 thousand personal pizzas.
If men didn’t “mostly do these things” the meme you’re replying to wouldn’t exist.
Feel free to downvote me if you have enjoyed a sandwich from Arby’s in the last 30 days.
Shit the acceleration of public cooking knowledge, ingredient availability, cuisine variety, food media, etc since the 90s has been incredible.
Yeah maybe the average person doesn’t know how to work with lemongrasss or whatever but you can look it up in a minute and people are doing that.
The upvoted comment you replied to is so demonstrably false. Sometimes Lemmy is just like Reddit where you come across a topic you’re actually familiar with and see all the bullshit comments for what they are.

In the movie Dolores Umbridge had Snape administer truth serum to Cho.
I feel like we need pinned comment every time this comes up because the mythology around this topic is so pervasive.
Donating small amounts along with a purchase saves a lot on transaction cost for the non profit organization.
Non profits love these things for volume.
Stores do not make money offering these.
If you dislike being pressured to donate at POS, by all means don’t do it, I don’t either!
Order of the Phoenix is brutal but I think Half Blood Prince from a cinematography perspective is the best in the series. Prisoner of Azkaban was also really well done.
And the movie portrayal was character assassination implying she was the one who ratted out Dumbledore’s Army.
Is this a new development? Having trouble finding the context.

You want a change? Scope it and present at the sprint planning. If it makes sense it gets built.

Canconda’s original comment did not have the wiki link which is why I replied. Honestly, dropping 23 possible birthday pairs to reach >50% probability is still not intuitive to me.
Of my OG friend group of ~12 there are two matching birthday pairs. One coincidental and one pair of twins which don’t count.
