12·2 days agoI know. I usually include the tone indicator, but I forgor. Also it’s not quite sarcasm. More a rhetorical question.

Good luck with that. People seeking power are seldom suited for wielding it.

News@lemmy.world•Humiliated Trump Storms Out of Catastrophic SCOTUS Hearing
1·8 days agoAs opposed to “spirit of the law.” I’d imagine they’d have a comparatively hard time passing a law literally revoking citizenship for nonwhite Americans.
But passing a law that retroactively revokes citizenship based on birthright and then “accidentally” only applying it to nonwhites might work. So they’d need to be vague enough in the phrasing.

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•If you're sexually frustrated & can rarely find a mate & decide to live a life of "nofap," what are the effects that buildup of sexual frustration has?
0·13 days agoPersonally I find being horny incredibly distracting. It’s so hard to focus on anything and makes interacting with people you could theoretically “mate” with much more difficult because my mind is constantly preoccupied with “would. I wonder if they’d be interested.” Really annoying.
