These things are tough. We have an old box turtle and I get him crickets sometimes and it gets him more active. He is old though so they live for awhile and we actually have to get these cricket cubes so they can eat and stay hydrated.

I sorta was thinking there are only so many windows in my place that we really look out for the view. talked to my wife and we agreed that we would be fine with a less than clear view for everything in our place outside of the balcony and the master bedroom.

could the reflective coating be on the inner part of the window pointing outward? Which now makes me wonder if doing that would get the solar window to gather more energy.

I think you lack imagination. It all comes down to cost and convenience. Mounting something on the exterior is going to be a specialized process whereas getting new windows is relatively standardized. Then add to integration with the electrical system. Theoretically this could be like balcony solar. An electric plug under a window is not uncommon. So if the cost for a solar window is not that much more than a standard window to some degree. It would make sense. Its not a crazy thing to look into at all. Now granted might as well make the exterior frame collect solar as well if possible but again that might just end up being to expensive relative to surface area. Would be worth looking into though just like the window.

Im older and likely not from your country given the arrainged marriage thing. If your young and healthy you have a lot to possibly experience. The world right now is not great and its not likely to get better overall so our best bet is greater quality of life overall. Better equity. Its seems to be going the opposite direction. Personally because of all this I decided to not have children. My wife and I decided it was not happening ironically about 20 years ago so if we had not decided that and had a kid they would be your age. Alls I can say is even if things are getting worse and continue to there is things to enjoy in the moment. Enjoyable foods. Being out anywhere in nature and walking around outdoors anywhere if the air is clean. Music. Media. Conversation. Reading. I personally find cognition itself to be enjoyable. Simple things. I personally would advise not having kids if you can avoid it. Remember in an arrainged situation the other person may be no more enthused with it than you are. I also understand not wanting to contribute to this mess. There is a kind of freedom to not seeing much of a future. When I was young I studdied math and science and looked to a career in academia. That was from a perspective of a progressive march of history. Now I would look to get by for the time in a way that is not enriching anyone else. communes and such. sorta wish I would have found and been part of dancing rabbit in my youth. anyway. can you find enjoyment in the moment. I believe you can. if so then enjoy as you can. Now im not saying be a hedonist. Simple pleasures that do not take from anyone or anything really and are about living. What really angers me is they should be taking the opportunity to tell the federal government they cannot intentionally not deliver mail which is what a judge who actually wanted to protect the constitution and our legacy of law for this issue. Allowing the federal government to blanket instruct the usps to not deliver mail opens up a massive can of worms. Heck even with a warrant it should not be allowed. Sure they can use a warrant to open a piece of mail but that should not happen while in the USPS care.

This is what was wierd to me about the oil opposition to solar. return per barrel keeps on dropping and things like wind and solar just bring back the return energy wise. Why didn’t they just invest in it?

I mean a lot of it is more foisted on. If oil products get to where we go to the older alternatives that is something I would cheer for.

you know I have not actually watched youtube much in awhile. I may have missed the ai stuff. He was actually getting a bit tiring with the youtube changes. I get it but as much as getting some income out of it is great the fact is he is doing stuff my friends and I would do for free for the heck of it. Don’t like the idea of google making money off the videos but the changes he made would be less views so google loses as well.
