Same her. I just swapped out everything to chicken/pork and even pork is climbing in price now. It’s fucking ridiculous out there.

Sure I’ll just toss the corpo trash that’s left on the sidewalks all over hollywood into the street.

For sure dude! Action is a fun little space to be in for entertainment, happy to share some of the little that I know about it!

Hey guys I am a stunt guy so I can give you an answer to this!
So, it like, depends on the kind of fall that’s needed! The technique for falling down stairs like, where Rocky runs up the steps, or where John Wick falls down the stairs a billion times in Wick 4 are different than if you’re falling down something smaller like a set from a house, or even narrower.
A big part of it is wearing the correct protection when doing the stunt. We have everything from insert pads like these bad boys (https://store.afstunts.com/products/action-factory-polymer-insert-pad-2-0) to full on tactical armor. The latter being great as you can wear both an insert and tactical knee pads and you’re just covered in protection on your hard points.
But back to the narrow vs wide stair fall!
So for a wide stair you literally can lay along the steps, and just ‘roll’ down the steps! You keep your hands to your chest and kind of put your elbows into the L shaped nook of the stair, and place your way down however many you need to fall. For narrow steps, it’s a little more tricky as you kind of have to ‘ping pong’ your way down the staircase, but the concept is the same. You’re just going over your head as well since you can’t fit horizontally down the steps.
The concept though is you get your sharp points (knees elbows etc) into the L part of the step, and kind of control your fall down the steps however you need production to have you fall. You also are generally doing this at a pretty controlled rate. They can speed it up in post-production if they want to.
Fun fact, the way stunts gets their pay is your flat rate, plus ‘bumps’ for doing individual things. So the guy who’s fighting and doing just background action will get one rate, the guy who’s on fire, getting wire pulled across the shot and lands on the hood of a car is getting extra pay for all of those extra things he needs to do.

I got it! My laptop with all my user information died, and I had to wait for a charger to get here to get back on this computer. I’ll answer this in the general thread!

Dems wanted to pass a national gerrymandering ban. trump, in his infinite wisdom, told Texas and other red states he wanted more seats and they, in an unprecedented move, redistricted their states mid-decade to placate a despot.
Democrats are countering the gerrymandering republicans started, and you are solely blaming the Democrats for wiping out an illbegotten gain by republicans.
Stop being so pathetic, man. It’s really sad to see someone bend over this far backwards for fucking Nazis.

Democrats don’t have a king, bucko.

Losing period makes your fight a wasted effort.
Standing by while republicans have wantonly suppressed the vote, deleted voter rolls, and likely literally have stolen elections is what is causing all the fucking issues right now. Dems need to fight fire with fire, then if they win they can ban gerrymandering nationally.

This is flat out no different than shooting someone in my book.
This is why people are behind Luigi.

Literally what I’m saying. Launching a rapid response is one thing. Conducting an entire theatre of war is another thing entirely.

No they absolutely still have the capability to drop a Wendys somewhere within 12 hours. But responding to a crisis and planning a full scale war are entirely different metrics to compare to.
One is a MEU, or an airborne unit going and doing a limited mission. The other is literally a theater wide conflict.
Desert Storm took almost 6 months of build-up to get going. Operation Iraqi Freedom took 12+ months to prepare and build up forces for.
trump was lead by the sack by Bibi, and the military professionals behind the scenes had about 2 weeks to get everything moving. It’s literally impossible to go to war on such a short notice, as you’ve seen by this conflict.
Not disagreeing that firing a bunch of competent people and putting in yes-men is not a fucking stupid move.

This shouldn’t be difficult at all. trump is literally the avatar of every cardinal sin that the church has.
This is a conservative christian not wanting to lose face with his Baptist buddies.

When the military are the ones calling the shots, they can.
When an orange pedophile and a drunk heretic are in charge, they don’t.
It really is that simple. It took like 6 months to build up the forces for OIF. It took a total of like a week to move things in place for Epstein Fury.

Can confirm. I’ve had way more gay men try to be handsy or to try and convince me to fuck around than I’ve seen the other way around.

Yeah but that is criticism.
:They believe something and they believe they are the sole arbiter of reality. So you questioning something they believe means you’re questioning their entire being. Which generally is tied to a religious belief as well which makes it even harder for them to change their minds.

Thanks man! When I do a bigger project I’ll do an AMA after that’s a good idea! Any other film industry people on here feel free to reach out I love meeting other business people!

Conservatives cannot receive any criticisms, ever. That’s the entire issue here. They believe their views are irrefutable, and as such, any challenge to their views is a hostile act.
That’s really what this boils down to. That and a complete lack of nuance.

Ha! I’m not a ‘big time’ stunt guy I got into it a few years ago!
I literally was acting in a small movie playing ice hockey, and the stunt coordinator was like ‘you actually played right?’ “Yeah man I played in college” ‘Oh cool can I have you take a few big hits?’
I was like hell yeah lets do it, and he showed me how we could pretend to do big hits instead of actually doing them, and then he was like ‘hey you’re pretty good at this you should do stunts!’ so, I linked up with some stunt people and started learning to do fights and how to fall and all that fun stuff.
Now, I’m ‘in the wings’ of one of the bigger action companies (you’ve definitely seen their movies), so I’m waiting for the call up to get to do their pictures!
Spoken like a technozealot.
