Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Is it worth confessing your love on the Internet?
0·3 days agoMaybe, but I think for some people with powerful PCs and local AIs, this may be the norm.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Is it worth confessing your love on the Internet?
0·4 days agoBy the way, what if the AI could copy this image of the cosplayer and reproduce it as if the person was communicating with his ideal that he saw in that girl? Maybe it’s a great way for unhealthy people to satisfy themselves?
Although no, it sounds silly, but I think some people do this.
At that time, people did not yet suspect that their creativity and soul were just patters that could be copied thanks to a stable database and sufficient computing power.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Is it possible to accidentally enter into a romantic relationship with a stranger?
0·4 days agoI’ve already realized that online dating is not dating, it’s a kind of shop, seriously, instead of finding real people, people can successfully communicate with AI on a computer, it’s a perfect product, much better than a real person, isn’t it? For many years I tried to find at least someone on the Internet, but there, as I said, people consider each other something that can be used, thrown away and replaced in half an hour or even five minutes. In the early Internet, everything was not so bad, but the further it went, the worse it became.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•If the AI gets out of control, what will it start doing on the planet, given the hallucinations that will always be with it?
0·7 days agoI think you should still read the I have no mouth… by Harlan Ellison.

0·7 days agoHere’s the problem: there will come a time when AI will become impossible to control, and 2027 may only be a signal for further problems.

0·7 days agoIf, in your opinion, autonomy means to think like a human being and to have so-called freedom, which can hardly be called freedom, given that your thoughts, desires, and actions are predictable mechanisms given to you by nature, then you are not quite right, even man is a rather primitive animal by nature, and his entire development is conditioned by the variety of information that he received during life and genetically inherited it. And perhaps he reinterpreted some concepts a little differently, and that’s it. In the case of AI, it can become autonomous in its own way, having its own built-in mechanisms, like humans, other animals, or even trees, depending on how a person tunes these mechanisms, but, unfortunately, given human nature, one should not hope for anything good.

12·7 days agoI don’t know if you realize it, but ideals don’t exist and never will be, no matter how hard you or anyone else tries to convince you otherwise.

11·7 days agoAnd what did you expect? people are stupid animals. But if you are offended by this, you can look at the concept of stupidity from the other side.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What do you think about the fact that AI blurs the line between reality and fiction and devalues art and real people?
0·8 days agoThe word “garbage” is also appropriate, although in the case of AI, it’s not exactly garbage, given the quality of content created by AI this year, which is almost indistinguishable from human-made, but I can’t find the right words, so I call it top-quality excrement.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What do you think about the fact that AI blurs the line between reality and fiction and devalues art and real people?
0·8 days agoIn fact, the AI can simply copy the artist’s soul and even enhance it, which turns out to be very easy thanks to high-quality models and accurate prompts.
I also used to believe in the soul of the artist, but, unfortunately, the delicious cake was stolen.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What do you think about the fact that AI blurs the line between reality and fiction and devalues art and real people?
0·8 days agoNobody looks at AI products and goes, wow, this is art.
Well, in fact, I have seen such people and they directly called it real art. But it was hard to disagree with them, given the highest quality of the content generated.
As for art in general, I know very well what it is and am completely disappointed with it.
At least not in and of itself. There could be something to be said for using AI as part of a larger artwork, and that does not devalue the artwork, in my opinion, but AI by itself is not art.
Well, over time we will see if this is true.

In what sense to fight? Go outside and fight with other people for the rest of the resources? Sorry, I didn’t quite understand your question.
