As a hobby I’m dabbling into local LLM shenanigans and self-hosting.
Professionally I’m working on a VR training sandbox involving trains and signal boxes.
Let’s hope the link lasts 70 more years

The Sith, the Jedi
Does this answer your question?

I feel like those are the same people blocking every beneficial change for the company to maintain the status quo (and perhaps their position).

Being able to make my own decisions and experiences instead of getting them laid out before me. Having my own household and agency over my life did a lot and also improved my relationship with my parents.
Only for me to move back after 10 years, take over the property and am now looking after them instead of the other way around.

Goes hand in hand with collectibles. Then random surprises inside the egg, like a loot box.

Yeah, I’ve heard they manage XR now, though it was fairly bare bones last time I checked.
I can’t say if it’s on the same level of what the industry would like to have though. I’d like to use Godot more, though I’m stuck with Unity in my job, mostly because switching engines doesn’t make sense at this point.
But I would consider Godot for any new project and definitely recommend everyone else to do the same.
Yes, but Unity keeps an advantage considering pure compatibility, not only with the target platform (many mobile games run Unity), but also other technologies (AR is a good example).
However that’s usually more interesting for industry than actual game development, so your point stands.

About the same here. Friends were drinking soft alcohol constantly at parties. I stuck to one bottle and took all night for it, because I had to force it. Nowadays I gave up on alcohol completely. So I won’t hope for something I like and grab the soft drink straight away.
Stupid router. v1.18.345 is the higher one. The hamster must have introduced breaking changes if they’re incompatible.

I second that solution. I’ve built the same setup for my home last Christmas, even tried different brands of TRVs to see which one I like. Works perfectly well with a Raspberry Pi with Home Assistant. The only issues I ran into were my lack of experience.

This, but both ways. Neither my wife nor me washes the dishes regularly. Needless to say a dishwasher was a game changer.

I have rubber duckies on my desk. But my cat frequently knocks them down. She’s clearly superior
