1·14 days agoAnyone else, including myself you mean.
One day you will discover that being this addicted to “working”, “productivity”, and “endless growth” wasn’t all the fairy tale we imagined it would be.
We’re all grand and great grandchildren of generations who have been replaced by some form of automation, we will survive this too.
Oh come on, that’s pretty low
I’ve got it on good authority that Erica’s Mossad handlers were actually quite fond of him, and very saddened when he decided to become anti-genocide.

In theory yes. But seeing how that’s the guys who own the guys who are coming up with the legislation, those are also the guys who made is so that a percentage of the working class is included, just so that we would not all be in agreement and the bill has a good chance of either failing or being repealed later. This is what any head bully does, make sure you have strong lieutenants in the community who protect your interests for them. Playbook as old as time.
And why would I take that to an election? https://lemmy.world/comment/23658769

Mate, that’s twice what the average Australian makes. The LLM-replaceables can take a minor hit so the Rheinharts give a bit more to hopefully the most needy. None of the people who will be hit by this will eat less or go less on holiday.

Australian Politics@aussie.zone•Farrer presents One Nation as a genuine electoral threat rather than just a protest - ABC News
2·15 days agoIt’s much deeper than that. Labor isn’t anymore the problem than the Democrats are. It’s just mega easy for an oligarch to puppeteer whatever the plebs vote into power. Albo was always a spineless weasel, as was Dutton going to be. Dutton was going to get the country down the drain faster, but we’ll get there with 1 or 2 more labor terms too.
The problem is human nature. We have it só good, we are so immensely Comfortably Numb™, and historically it takes a fair bit of hunger, war and disease before that numbness wear off and for good people to get off their ass and stop doing nothing.
Considering how poor the leadership of Australia has been for nearly 2 decades, it’s remarkable how it’s still has relatively few social problems, compared to other similar countries.

5·15 days agoLook it’s 10 years since 2016, Australia is overdue to follow the same footsteps. Pauline doesn’t even have to change the acronym.
Eventually 2 party stupidity always leads to this. And Australia is a wealthy country with a high living standard, so leaches like her and her ilk can extract a lot of wealth before any will even notice.
I just wonder if Palmer will be picked as minister of education or something. Like what’s Pauline’s RFK Jr pick?

22·19 days agoI don’t think it’s garbage. It’s highly effective use of technology to get a message across to the exact target audience they have.
Getting pretty tired of anything CGI being labeled AI slop. If you watched cartoons, an MCU movie or have done anything on a computer with graphics, you might as well call that AI slop too.
I prefer to reserve AI slop for people who offload their creativity to LLMs, which is not what these guys did.

Embrace the technology limitations. It can work if lighter, one unit, brighter, and has “all day” battery life.
Cook may have made Apple extremely profitable, but between this, the car and airpower, the dude did know how to burn the excess cash too. I’m not even going to guess if tv+ is at or above break even.

0·1 month agoThat compute has to be divided by the total use hours of the model for all of its users. It’s a one off. A one off we do frequently because it’s an emerging technology, but it’s the x factor like with solar panels which will get cheaper over time as we will learn to not fully retrain models from scratch and start using composite ones.
Even cars are not such a big culprit. Agriculture and meat consumption are much higher.

Well argued. I’m not going to fight my position. US is surface level very obviously violent, but Israel is the one which works behind the scenes and sets up elaborate schemes to treat many other brands of humans worse than we treat cattle.
America you can avoid by no longer using silicon valley garbage and just not going there. Israel is everywhere, behind the scenes buying the politician you voted for more than 10,000km away from Jerusalem, just to make sure you don’t shout on the streets that Palestine should be free.
Israel is covert and cloak and dagger. Journalists are killed first. At least in the US, it is still being filmed and rapist soldiers wouldn’t get sent straight to the battlefield.
Happy to give the top award to USA, Israel and Russia all together at the same time.
I think executing
amultiple genocides > supplying and supporting a genocide.
So they want them to be born, even if the mother doesn’t want them.
Then they want to either sextraffic them and protect pedophiles to the extent of putting them in the white house.
And if not that, they’ll kill some. At school in the USA or Iran.
