I think the Right Wing Playbook series on Youtube explains very well why we shouldn’t suffer alt-right and fascist style argument anywhere. They are not in good faith and don’t contribute anything to the marketplace of ideas.

True conservative thought has a place but that is very very rare to see anymore.

I’m pretty sure you are right - it was probably the fashion scene that was a slave to these trends and everyone else was like ‘pretty happy with them either way’.

This is interesting because it fits with 27% Crazification Factor - a hypothesis based on the 2004 Obama vs. Keyes Senate race. Basically it’s saying the same - 27% of the population will vote for anything.
