I’ve probably protested for your rights. I’m definitely on at least one list.
I believe firmly that everyone should have a fair shake and as much freedom as they can be afforded - so long as it does not encroach on the freedoms of others.

0·7 days agoIts worth noting that everyone commenting on memory forgets they aren’t losing 8+ gigs to their operating system so it can track them harder (now with AI!)
Most laptops with considerably older chipsets run flawlessly for moderate use on Linux with 8 gigs. OS makes a massive difference and that’s before we discuss hardware.

I do like your take on it. It seems totally plausible… Not many people want to risk their jobs so that would be one way to approach it as safely as possible.
