    Sock, sock shoe, shoe.

Usually because I put my socks on in the bedroom, but my shoes are by the back door: i don’t put them on unless I am going outside.

Socks, then shoes. My socks are stored in my bedroom, and my shoes near the entryway of my home. I’m not one of those filthy casuals who wears their shoes inside.

Sock shoe, sock shoe, because I have a golden retriever and don’t want her fur on my socks.

I’m rarely in the position where I put my shoes on at the same time as my socks. Socks go on when I get dressed, shoes go on when I go out, unless maybe I’m camping in a small tent getting dressed rarely coincides with when I go out. I assume this is the case for most people.

Normal shoes I’ll do sock/sock shoe/shoe. For lace up calf length boots I’ll do sock/boot sock/boot because it’s a whole process and if I don’t adjust the sock just right it gets super bunched or overly tight on the toesies.

So, really, it depends on the context.

My shoes stay at the door and never used in the house.

So sock sock first then shoe shoe.

No clue.y personal reasons are cleanliness and a personal hatred for wearing shoes. I don’t even like being in socks only. Whenever I can I’m barefoot. It’s just more comfortable for me.

My feet get chilly. Yes, I live in a hot climate. I think that’s actually part of the problem because a lot of flooring here is tile which stays cold AF!!!

        Circumstance.

If you’re constantly going in/out, it’s a waste of time.

And honestly it doesn’t make any difference for me - my carpets get just as dirty just as fast whether I take shoes off or not.

I still take them off, but since I clean the carpets I know exactly how little difference it makes. It’s a “feel good” exercise in my house.

Waste of time and cleanliness don’t get align though. It must be cultural then. I just cannot even think about how it would be so dirty wearing shoes in the house. In Eastern culture, the home should be clean and not a place you would enter with your shoes on.
