Imagine you had 72 hours before everything collapses. How would you spend that time? Would you stockpile supplies? Would you focus on warning as many people as possible? Would you try to preserve knowledge, like books, hard drives, download internet archives, etc.? Would you collect music or history?
I’d go fishing with my dog.
are they good at it?
Ha ha. Don’t know. They can just watch me and get excited if I get something. Or just get pets. A day of catching nothing is better than a day at work.
sorry I’m already fully booked on Thursday. Friday is really a no and I have a bbq during the weekend. Can we move to early next week? Happy to touch base to find common ground and unleash synergies.
Oh, you’re gonna unleash some synergies alright…
I mean, it depends heavily on the type of apocalypse.
Meteor strike? I’ll just enjoy the next three days. It’ll likely wipe out any chance anyone has of survival.
Zombies? Yeah, I’d probably try and survive and group up with some of my better equipped friends.
Global nuclear war? I’ll just off myself. I don’t want to even exist in that scenario.
I’d wait to see if it really is that bad, but yeah
how about idiocracy? lol
OP stated it was still a could days away
Rent an isolated cabin far out in the woods, buy anything I can think of that would help me last indefinitely out there, get enough supplies for the short term, then pack it all in the truck and gtfo with my cat in the passenger seat.
What do you know?
WHAT DO TOU KNOW?
Also, I already have my own little library so I’m set on that end. I probably would just get get blitzed and enjoy myself with my husband those last three days.
I have books on everything from “doctoring where there is no doctor” to scavenging the local area to encyclopedias, etc.
My library is for the survivors. I harbor no delusion that I am likely to be among them. (And, in the mean time, I just like books.)
Then your glasses break

Plan a hostile takeover of a Costco
everyone and their brother has this plan in mind so i hope for your sake that you have better luck than most. lol
Note to self get a towmotor license soon.
Fingers crosses nobody else got a 72 hour heads up
Considering their placements are mostly in the suburbs, maybe it’s best not to be the first ro a place where others w more guns also planning on going. Lol
Day 1: The Battles of the CostCos
will it be worth it once the industrial sized bottles of ranch dressing all have bullet holes? lol
I mean, people seem to think the apocalypse would be survivable, but that’s not how I understand it.
But for an impending survivable disaster, I’d get supplies and weapons and head to somewhere remote.
To me, to even qualify as an apocalypse, it has to take out 99.9%+ of the population, and make extendedly staying alive stupidly difficult (and maybe even impossible) for anyone who “lucked into” surviving whatever it was that killed almost everyone else.
So it’s one of those things that is going to be hard to prep for with months and months of notice, let alone three measly days.
I’m disabled and lack community. I would do art until I succumb to the fate the eugenicists who designed my environment and society have arranged for me.
I’d just go out to a pub every day and night, and just drink. What else are you gonna do
Sex. Drugs. Also hug my family or whatever. But you don’t even know them so that’s probably not high on your list.
I also choose to hug this person’s family.
I already hugged your family because it was so high on my list
hug a family of horses? oh it’s up there
Depends entirely on the kind of collapse
Really, it’s a question that’s too sad for me to answer: I don’t know. I’d probably panic, like anyone would. Also, it depends whether there is anything after the apocalypse. If the world is ending and explodes, I am not in a position to preserve things anymore. (I probably wouldn’t be if it didn’t, either.) If it’s just a setback in civilization, and I have a chance of survival, maybe a few of my favorite media on various types of storage. Ideally, maybe hints to check Svalbard once civilization has been rebuilt. (The World Seed Archive and Arctic Code Vault are there.) But, if we want to joke about it: I’ll check if anyone’s live from Harmageddon.
I’d get really excited, like what I’m going to wear?
Get all the grocery shopping done early and then sit back and watch the show unfold.
Apocalypse by default isn’t survivable.
Probably I would try to enjoy the last 3 days and at the end I would repent because it would not hurt to cover all the bases.
If it would be survivable: I would not last long. Medical / vision / dental coverage is in short supply during the end of days.
Find a good fortress/ship with water and solar panels, download Wikipedia (annas archive), gather seeds and growing supplies, tools to fix stuff, duct tape: Realistically not happening.Op, do you know something???
I am so happy it will be over before my next rent payment. Its like Xmas and my birthday all in one!
1 day down to find out.
I hope so!
So help me GOD, if you guys get my hopes up for nothing, I will end this world.
Be the change you want to see 🙈
