      I might be thinking of delay with substantial feedback or wetness or both 🤔

      What is the interplay between these parameters of delay?

      On a spectrum, between

      no delay {delay(time: 0s, feedback: 0, wetness 0)}

      and

      substantial echoey {delay(time: 0.5s, feedback: 100, dry/wetness: 100)}

      Wouldnt you say theres something about the latter that could lend itself to sedating the listener or at least theres something more mentally effortful about the brain parsing it that might promote that type of response

        I mean 100% feedback just gives you a headache, no?

        Wouldnt you say theres something about the latter that could lend itself to sedating the listener

        Not in particular? Delay is probably the most widely used audio effect in the world across all genres, I don’t think it has an inherent sedating effect

        I think I want to see a scatter plot of “amount of delay effect in music being played” on one axis and “thc content of ambient air” on the other before ruling that out as a confounding variable.
