Mine is AI.

I mean, the argument about how much water datacenters and AI companies take up, don’t line up. We’ve conveniently forgot how much companies like Nestle and Coca-Cola take up for water, that it’s easier now to blame ChatGPT.

The anti-AI people are intolerably obnoxious, way more than the pro-AI crowd are. The people who’re utilizing AI to its full effect, see the benefits. While the anti-AI people spend every waking minute, just hating and hating it where the mere mention of AI gets them frothing at the mouth.

I quite frankly, am worn on the issue. I use AI sparingly, I have my uses and I’m not going to sit around while a thing I use and see as a tool, is demonized while I’m practically seen as a lazy person with no vision. I don’t care. Hate me all you want. I’m tired of just hearing it from every freaking corner I go to, to where, I don’t care about your stances.

We really don’t. It’s just that it makes everything it is forced into worse, and it’s frustrating to have your day-to-day experiences decline in quality for no benefit.

The only thing I have that falls under this question is “how vegans should convince omnis to get vegan.” So many people just stubbornly believe, “Well I don’t like it, so it’s wrong!” There are multiple ways to convince people. Some aspects are more important to some people than others. Not everyone is the same. Calm down. Nobody is driving anyone away from veganism by telling the truth. They weren’t going vegan in the first place.

I stopped trying to convince anyone of anything. I’ll voice my perspective, listen to theirs, and whatever. It’s exceedingly rare for people to change their minds on the spot. All we can really do is plant a seed that may (or may not) germinate.

you’re literally starting a thread looking for a fight, while complaining about people fighting. this is amazingly pathetic, I think you should reflect on your life choices.

The problem with the whole “burn out and stop engaging”, is that everything keeps getting worse and breaches your new higher tolerance threshold.

And it can all be summed up in one word “trump”.

Every time you think it is safe to exhale, this asshole does something else bigly stupid. It kind of his thing. I mean, who the fuck bulldozes the Whitehouse?

Those corps suck because of the plastic waste they generate and obscene profit margins…

But humans still drink that water.

AI uses so much water because they often don’t have to pay for water, and even when they do running the tap 24/7 is cheaper than a real cooling system.

Literally the only reason they use so much water, is because of $ signs on a balance sheet.

Those are in absolutely nowhere close to comparable.

Like, if you’re “burnout talking about” why the fuck include the big rant about how people are mean to AI for reasons you can’t understand?

Do you even consider in what alternatives they could be using to cool their systems with? You always assume it’s cut and dry as you’re implying that they’re wasting water.

No? Is that too hard for you to think about? You just wanted to sound righteous and beat your little repetitious drum, the same drum I’ve read so many like you beat on that’s gotten so tiresome. You don’t know anything.

Don’t lecture me on what you think I don’t understand, when you yourself have openly demonstrated exactly what it is that I’m burned out from when it comes to issues like I’ve exampled.

      Get a fucking clue.

Yeah, even if the US government didn’t spend well into six figures for my training, heat exchangers aren’t exactly complicated…

You always assume it’s cut and dry as you’re implying that they’re wasting water.

        It absolutely is…

They literally just run tap water to cool it…

It’s literally the most inefficient cooling method, and if they even had to pay residential water prices, it wouldn’t be cheaper than alternatives.

Don’t lecture me on what you think I don’t understand

You not understanding isn’t an opinion…

It’s just going off what you’re saying.

I’m burned out from when it comes to issues

Have you considered not posting rants about what you don’t want to talk about?

lol. and this totally is not a post about ai because you do not care. if there is a center im likely just on the other side of it from you. these things are like politics though where nuanced views get people on one side acting your your zealotly for the other.

This is a dangerous stance to take because when this, or some other social plague affects you personally, you might wish there were more people were around to fight it.

It is tiring and it is everywhere. It’s also ok to filter it out so you can take a break, and when it comes time to vote or support the right movements, you can be ready to take action.

How about the right action is to kill off half of you motherfuckers? Maybe that is what would be best for society. Because obviously, you assholes have NOTHING positive to contribute, but run your fucking mouths at the expense of others.
