This might be the most scholarly shitpost I’ve ever read. Bravo to everyone involved.

So, fun fact. This is apparently called “Patina.” It’s the same thing that’s on the statue of liberty, and funner fact, it actually makes it stronger!

We had a minor freeze last year. I went to Home Depot and the last piece of pipe insulation was very mangled and the adhesive was falling off. I asked the clerk if they would discount it for me since all I needed was about 1 ft but would buy the damaged parts at a discount.

They got a supervisor who argued with me that “it’s suppose to be like that”. Like brother I’m trying to help y’all get this damaged product off the shelf. I’ll happily pay full price for undamaged product. We argued for about 5 minutes before he went to the back and brought me a piece from a brand new box.

Man, what a legacy this man has. In th Lemmy app I use, the top of the was cut off in the thumbnail and so all I saw were the fittings and I was like man Ea Nasir, you still haven’t improved your supply? And then I opened the image and yep he’s at it again.

What’s the issue here? That’s just a protective coating to keep the high-quality copper underneath safe during shipping and handling.

I don’t know what your problem is. You need to sand those fittings bright and shiny before you solder them anyway…

Nope, this is perfect. AI is completely wrong for shitposting. You chose well.

Also it’s actually a pretty solid job.

I tried MS Paint KolourPaint, as is tradition, but removing the background without layers was too much effort

Sometimes I could use some of these to convince the inspector I didn’t touch the plumbing.
