Has always been this way. Back in the late 70/early 80s, Harley couldn’t compete with the Japanese bikes so they lobbied to daddy fed to make sure all the foreign bikes got tarriffed out of existence over 700cc. So the Japanese said “hold my soju” and made 699cc motorcycles that still made more power than the gargantuan Harley bikes of the time. USA has always tried to give US based companies a leg up over objectively superior products. Our tax dollars are why there are any American car companies left, sure Ford didn’t get a direct bail out but we use them for police and other service vehicles across the country which has helped keep them afloat. Plus obviously Chrysler and GM taking govt bailouts and still flailing desperately while making trash vehicles and wondering why they don’t sell. The American auto industry doesn’t struggle to keep pace, it has NEVER caught up to or even compared to the rest of the world. They have always been 30+ years behind any European or Asian vehicle.

I’m honestly not trying to be defeatist, I just want to convey how idiotic of a concern this is. You sensor id needs to be tied to the car somehow for it to be remotely useful, never mind the atrocious reception of them in the first place it’s just a non issue. And if u reprogram sensor ids, how will it know what vehicle just went by its radar? It would also need a camera to tie the plate or something else which means your already being surveyed. The concern that ur TPMS is going to be used to track you is just so idiotic I cannot fathom the stupidity of telling people to go out and remove their pressure sensors. Hopefully u don’t own any vehicle made after 2002 cuz good Lord when you find out about key transponders and radio frequency security keys ! Good luck deleting your immobilizer 😂😂😂

This. My first reaction to this article was “duh why wouldn’t the parent know?” Then I thought about it a little harder. Yea parents should know, and parents should be accepting / supportive. But shoulda coulda woulda doesn’t mean shit in the face of what is. If the kid hasn’t told their parents they likely fear the outcome…

Hope y threw ur phone away and got rid of ur head unit while u were at it. Tpms tracking is just about the last fucking thing I’d ever worry about especially with the lack of range those transponders have. Nobody is tracking you via tpms 😂

State inspections are a racket. This is coming from a state inspector. Waste of time and money! I only got certified so I can inspect my own and wife’s vehicles. Well that and it’s invaluable at work but shit if your determined to drive an unroadworthy POS the lack of a sticker on ur windshield and the possibility u MIGHT get a 50$ fine and no points is not enough to deter the idiots from driving rolling scrap heaps anyways. Seen em before and will continue to see em weather inspections are mandated or not.

I have owned one phone without an audio jack. Never again. Don’t shove that trash non logic down anybody else’s throat there’s no reason not to have a 3.5mm aux. USBC aux cords are the least reliable cables I’ve ever seen on the market and their adapters are just as shitty. U know what works? Every single time? Aux port.

I love animals and I love eating meat. Controversial take on your take- nobody should be vegan. Look in your mouth for proof. Humans are evolved omnivores. We are to eat meat AND vegetables. This sounds like something that somebody who has literally never moved in their life would say. You need money just to move across states nevermind continents, trust me I have lived in 7 different states and 2 different European countries.

Even if I add shipping costs, Amazon is typically more expensive. I order my car parts from rock auto and have NEVER found Amazon to be cheaper even after adding shipping costs. They were cheap maybe a decade ago when they were trying to fold everybody else but they got enough fools by the short and curlies to start jacking prices up until people start looking elsewhere. Same formula as Wal Mart, it’s a proven good practice for big corps to kill local and small businesses.
