Recently I went “woop woop woop woop woop” and a friend thought it was 3 stooges, so I replied “Why not zoidberg??”

Something has to trigger my memory, but there are things in my head that are easily pre-Internet. There might even be a couple that are from before my own existence passed down from my parents.
The question is then whether I let them escape my head and I’m not sure where the dividing line on “still use” is.
For example, and I don’t know why this one in particular, “Nice one, Cyril” is older than I am, and exists in my head, but I don’t post it anywhere online either in earnest or sarcastically because no-one would understand it. But my head uses it occasionally.

One thing I think is hilarious is I learned you say “you just lost the game” to people, but then circles of friends evolved and it came back like a decade later with a new group that would say “I just lost the game” and to be honest, I hated it that way… lol

I use one from this game while playing Rocket League and the opposing team accidentally passes is the ball. I’ll usually say “hey look, somebody set us up the bomb” as me or my duo in discord start to make an approach to capitalize the shot.
