Yes I know that the person who played Hulk Hogan was an awful human being.

No no. He did. Search youtube for “Hulk Hogan threatens twin towers”. Then look at the upload date. Hopefully you get one that was uploaded 15 years ago, just to quell any fears of it being AI.

You know…I’ve never heard of a wrestler being refered to as “the person who played (character)”, but it makes sense.

Jim Carry is not Ace Ventura. Jim Carry PLAYED Ace Ventura. Terry Bologna isn’t Hulk Hogan, but he did play Hulk Hogan.

I don’t want to speak on behalf of them, but the comment includes a hint that strongly implies an answer to your question: “I’ve never heard of […]”

Yes, he was an awful man for totally running Hulkamania wild on the Twin Towers during September Slam at the World Trade Center.

And the racism stuff was pretty bad too I guess.

Nah, hulk was a pretty atrocious person. Entertaining wrestler but not much besides. Though I still appreciate the way he tore down that one shitty tabloid. That was pretty cool of him.

Shared enemies, frankly. If Peter Thiel kicked the ceo of Sony in the groin, I’d still think it was pretty cool

I can understand that. When Florida and Disney got into it a few years back it was a no-win / no-lose scenario.

The other way around for me.

Sony isn’t anywhere close to Palantir. Fuck Peter Thiel and fuck Alex Karp.

The street goes both ways for me. Send me a video of Sony execs standing over thiel’s crumpled form splayed across the ground, barely holding back a stream of vomit if you’ve got it. I’m not going to pass up good suffering and I can’t understand why anyone would

And John Lennon beat his wife. Sometimes you have to separate the man from his work, otherwise you go down a lonely depressing path.

I get around unforgivable artists by pirating their everything, but I don’t recognize them as anything but abominable people. I can enjoy what they produced while hating them as a person, and that’s what I’m doing!
