Reminds me of the time a dog wandered into our backyard and my parents’ cat jumped on the poor thing’s back and dug her claws in.

Is it Molino? I’m having trouble looking up their other works but I don’t want to claim I know better after two searches.

I found https://70s-sci-fi-art.ghost.io/walter-molino/ but I couldn’t say if that’s slop or real. The Internet is dead.

The tumblr version of this blog seems to have posted Walter Molino stuff as far back as 2018, so I’m inclined to say not slop.

Proof that a housecat absolutely should be able to solo a level 1 party.

A cat can’t even take on a common villager. And a single level 1 character should be killing at least a couple villager, unless they roll bad.

It’s a joke from 3.5. Cats are hard to hit due to their size modifier. Commoners have 4hp, minimum damage is 1. Cat has to hit 4 times to kill, commoner has to hit once but the math is not in their favor.

Fun fact: RAW a cat can’t jump in 5E (2014) because they have a negative strength modifier.

Call me crazy, but I have this weird suspicion that Walter Molino was a dog person.

Edit: Or a misanthrope, I suppose.

It’s funny because he treated the subject matter (cat) with the same energy he put into his disaster paintings.

‘Traditional’ for this community means traditional medium. So this qualifies.
