There’s no hate like Christian love.
Agreed but how is that relevant here? I see no indication of it in the story
The headline: oh that sounds horrible.
The description on this post: even worse than I thought it would be.
The article: not a single picture of the husband, who is also serving a life sentence. I wanna see what that mistake of a person looks like.
There wasn’t a picture because he was already sentenced months ago. The woman’s article even links to that article.

I hear people say Oklahoma is the most free state in the union, and yet they won’t let you rape your own child and force her to give birth? That’s not the America my ancestors had nothing to do with building.
Yep, the news from the Oklahoma Oblast no longer surprises me. Certainly the Orange Pedo Shitstain will pardon the sick bastards because that is why he is mentioned over 38,000 times in a certain set of files.
Certainly the Orange Pedo Shitstain will pardon the sick bastards
He doesn’t have pardon power over state charges. But, it is Oklahoma. So, Republican governor Kevin Stitt will still probably give it. After all, the Republican position seems to be that abusing children is a good thing.
Ain’t none of them giving pardons out for free.
So the husband gets one life sentence for doing it, and the wife gets seven life sentences for allowing it?
They both deserve life in prison, but why did the actual perpetrator get a lesser sentence?
I assume its what they could prove. Dad raped kid obvious guilt provable by paternity test if any question. Proving neglect was probably harder if daughter was in mom’s care mostly.
That’s a dad who spent way too much time “thinking about the children”
What’s even weirder is that they gave the mother 7 consecutive life sentences, but the father who actually impregnated the child only got 1 life sentence + 42 years.
1 life sentence + 42 years.
ok but that is enough. the mom just got Overkill+
They do it that way so even with good behavior or some appeals for a commuted sentence, still ends up being more years than they’ll live by a mile.
It also said that he was charged with the same 6 counts of child neglect though. So either the article was unclear on his actual sentence also being multiple consecutive life sentences or the charges of neglect didn’t all stick for some reason.
I don’t have any specifics but it could be that the father was not in a position to actually be responsible for her care at some point. Maybe the mother kicked him out or something. I’m just speculating, though. No idea really.
It’s simple. In the USA, and many other counties, rape of any sort by a man isn’t as bad as anything a woman/mother might do wrong. I didn’t read the article however I wouldn’t be surprised to find out that the husband was also beating, raping or otherwise abusing his wife.
You are clearly quite ignorant of the actual statistics when it comes to gender disparities in sentencing for the same crimes.
What even is a life sentence
It’s mostly what it sounds like. Prison until you die. But, unless given a life sentence without the possibility of parole, once you’ve served a minimum number of years (and that number varies on the crime, state/federal law and judge’s applied minimums) you can become eligible for parole. What that means is a parole board can determine later that you have sufficiently served time for your crimes, that you are remorseful for them, and that you no longer pose a danger to anyone, and release you from prison before your death.
When it comes to sentences with specific years attached, like this guy’s 42 year sentence, it is a bit different. They can also end early with a parole decision, but there is a minimum time served for each sentence before you are eligible for parole. That minimum scales with the full sentence. It is, I think, usually 1/3rd of the full sentence, unless the judge sets a higher minimum.
Also you can be given multiple years long sentences, one per guilty verdict, but depending on the judge’s discretion or if those crimes are statuarily required to be served consecutively (i.e. one after the other), sometimes those sentences are to be served concurrently (i.e. at the same time). What that means is, if you get sentenced to two 1 year sentences and a 3 year sentence to be served concurrently, you’re really only serving 3 years. But if you have to serve them consecutively, you’ll be serving all 5 years in total. And your parole potential starts, thus, later.
So it’s kind of complicated. Sometimes you see someone getting a life sentence and they’re released in 20 years. Sometimes you see someone get a dozen sentences but they’re all served concurrently and they’re out in a few years too. Sometimes someone gets multiple sentences to be served consecutively and ends up with like 200 years in prison and are essentially guaranteed to die in prison before they are eligible for parole, despite none of their crimes carrying a life sentence potential.
Also this dude’s 42 years and life sentence are consecutive, so he must serve the minimum of both before possibility of parole. But that is probably about 35-40 years from now at minimum. I’m unclear if the mother’s 7 life sentences are consecutive or concurrent, but since they didn’t say, probably concurrent.
Thanks for all that explanation. It ended up in me being even more confused what the point of 7 concurrent life sentences is.
Sentences are concurrent by default unless the specific law they are convicted of breaking requires their sentence to be served consecutively or the judge specifically rules that they are to be consecutive. I am not really sure on the history of why that is though.
From a technical standpoint, getting multiple life sentences means if one gets removed on appeal, the others still stand.
For the victim(s), especially if there’s multiple victims, each life sentence acknowledges each crime committed against them and validates them.
The last I checked a *life sentence " was 40 or 45years. So if they claim 2 life sentences that technically 80-90 years in jail.
This entire article and some clarifications in the comments make me feel sick. This entire story is fucked up and i wish I hadn’t read it. Poor child is traumatised for life
Thank you for this warning.
Someone once wrote a comment on the internet which i read, which said something like, " when you have a choice to look at something traumatic or not, you don’t have to look. "
Sadder still, society will expect her get over it and carry on. Society doesn’t understand that there’s no “normal” for her any more.
Hopefully she can get a lot of help and therapy while she’s still young. Once you’re an adult no one gives a fuck what you’ve been through or what you’re going through.
The bills won’t pay themselves. Food won’t magically show up just because you’re too mentally or emotionally fucked up to function like a normal adult.
It’s Oklahoma, the therapist will probably just tell her to pray for forgiveness from her sins.🙄
That or they’ll blame her for “seducing” her father.
Jesus, that’s a bad headline. She wasn’t sentenced for the home birth; she was sentenced for her part and cover-up of her husband raping and impregnating their daughter. The lack of proper medical care is just part of the cover-up.
every conservative is like this. this is the world they want. this is their utopia.
This is why they want homeschooling, much easier to abuse children away from prying eyes
This is sad, but true.
At my first teaching job, a first-grader told her teachers and the principal that the bruises on her legs were from her mom hitting her with a belt. We reported it to Child Protective Services, and when they followed up, the mom pulled her out of school to “homeschool” her instead.
Covering up physical abuse is one of many reasons why homeschooling needs more oversight.
Isn’t CPS supposed to be a sharp sword of the state?
Supposed to be, but (like everything else) it’s incredibly underfunded.
religion is kind of a tricky subject. if its religious they can’t touch it, and they were never all that sharp.
They only pretend to care about child protections to pass invasive laws
It’s why they act like boots are so delicious. Not because they enjoy licking boots but because they see it as a necessary downside to a hierarchy existing that gives them full power over what they see as their domain. It might be their household, their land, their business, their social group.
It’s why they get so upset at the idea of someone sharing information and think everyone should mind their own business (eg when cheating). It’s behind the “no snitching” mindset (though that one also has a dose of “not all laws are just” and my personal pov is that it is right to inform to help someone being hurt but it is not right to inform to hurt someone who is breaking some law without a real victim or a “victim” that themselves are hurting people but through legal means, which is why I hate thieves but don’t care about shoplifters at big chains). Though there’s also a tribalism aspect to that, where it’s acceptable to expose some cases of cheating if your loyalty to the victim should be higher than to the cheater, in their mind at least. And for some reason the idea that their own values can determine that loyalty others give them breaks their mind (eg “BuT fAmilY!” or “bUt <cheater> waS yOUr frIeNd fIIIrst!”).
It’s a worldview that puts power above everything else, while the left cares more about how power is used with an emphasis on justice. And the reason that it’s an eternal conflict is that neither side are objectively wrong. Those with the most power do make the rules and can even break those rules because one needs power to enforce them. But also if the majority puts aside their own lust for power and works together for each other, than can overpower the powerful individuals and rule for justice instead of their own greed. But even then, opportunists will always be seeking their own power.
I have found everyone becoming more conservative in the past decade or so. it has been profoundly alienating.
Sweet home Oklahoma
Things I wish I could unread.
A 34-year-old Oklahoma mother will spend the rest of her life behind bars for allowing her husband to impregnate her 11-year-old daughter, then forcing the child to give birth at home without any medical care.
i thought the post title was bad enough… but daaaaaaamn. they sure do go the extra mile.
Christian culture, baby!
You can even have an alternate exclamation by dropping the comma
That’s not even the worst thing said in that article:
“This child is traumatized. She’s been through a horrific ordeal,” [Assistant District Attorney Janet] Hutson previously said in an interview with Tulsa CBS affiliate KOTV. “Not only has somebody gotten her pregnant, but she gave birth at home without medical assistance, and this will be her life for the rest of her life.”
“This will be her life for the rest of her life”??? I know it’s the job of the prosecutor to frame things in the worst way, but fuck everything about that. Whoever is left of her family needs to do everything they can to try to help her get past this trauma. And that baby is not her responsibility, either, and never will be.
This is Oklahoma, she’s gonna have to raise it.
If you’re going to say things like that, then I’d expect you to say something like, “This is Oklahoma. A child of child rape is just raised as their mother’s sister. It’s so common that they put that rule in the state constitution.”
This is an acceptable correction.
What the actual fuck
In-fucking-deed.
a ten year old the actual fuck. did you not read the Bible?
“Brotherson” is a word I had never expected to learn, and in retrospect one I had hoped to never know.
Edit: The article is vague, so I suppose “sisterdaughter” is another word I can add to the list of words I don’t want to think about.
It’s probably more likely he was a stepfather. The article is very ambiguous
So at least it’s not actual incest I guess?
I wonder if the authors in the USA in around 20 years or so will be casually mentioning brothersons like it’s perfectly normal.
Christians love this shit
Pretty sure I learned it from https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jwA1VeYpvaM and I’m from the next state over.
to hide the pregnancy of incestual rape course.
That’s what she gets for having sex with my man.
What horrible apes
Such a difference between this and Epstein, while the subject of sexual abuse of minors is roughly the same. I guess the lesson is, if you’re gonna rape and pillage, first be filthy rich.
Always has been.
Why was an 11 year old pregnant?
Biblical values
Because the woman’s pedophile husband impregnated her.
Because the PEDOPHILE’S pedophile husband impregnated her.
I haven’t read the article, but I bet it’s in the South
banjos approaching
Edit: banjos confirmed
Muskogee County, Oklahoma
A bonafide Okie from Muskogee.
when a dad and a daughter love each other very much…
I don’t mind dark humor but you’ll find that love has nothing to do with any of this
It’s much more power abuse than love. Even to the point where love is nonexistent.
