I can start. I spent a few days with friends. We didn’t do anything that special but it’s good to catch up and soak up some positivity from them.
Woke up next to my wife.
Tbh, I do that a lot but it’s still the best!
My application for my SRS (sex reassignment surgery) was approved by my health insurance.
That’s awesome! And a huge relief I’m sure.
My kid and I saw a helicopter air lifting stuff on a cable, from pretty close.
Caught it on video and he’s crazy about it. We’ve watched it like a hundred times.
Yeah, I understand how cool this is.
Last year we saw a chopper picking up a cable load in Doon Doon. 30m from us.
I was in the roadhouse dunny at the time, and said ‘WTF is that?’.
Got a cool video too.
Maybe get a still from your video and make him a shirt from it, so he can explain to everybody how awesome it was. 😃
Hey thats a great idea.

I could make a cool vector from this.
Or even as a print like it is, either way that is an expressive shot.
I would love to hear about heli story if a kid came up to me in that shirt!
I finally got paid for a big job I did and now my new computer that I’ve been looking at for the past year is on its way to me. And, I have enough to get some Asian food for dinner which I like.
Well. I got sick on Saturday. Stomach bug.
The best thing that’s happened to me this week is I was able to eat a few saltines last night.
Sounds like youre over the hump! Youre almost back to health! You got this! :)
Yeah, the week is looking better. Had a couple scrambled eggs this morning for breakfast and a baked potato for lunch.
If it all goes well, I can be back to eating the unhealthy crap I usually eat tomorrow 😁
I finished the first draft of my bachelor’s thesis and now have time to move into a new apartment before I continue!
Deadlifted 150 kgs (330 lbs) for reps this morning. Not a huge amount, but still nice. Other than that, a pretty uneventful week so far. Spring is just around the corner.
Congratulations! Thats a milestone all the same! Just remember, way less people are fit than you think. Probably the vast majority of people couldnt do what you just did! Be proud! Youre kicking butt on your fitness journey!!
Today is the 12th anniversary of the day I was physically disabled by a fuckwit driver while I was riding a bicycle to work. It is the first year in several where I do not feel existential or super depressed. I have plenty of reason to be, but all of it is deflected at the moment.
That’s a really nice twist :)
Had a relatively quick morning with my toddler on Monday, so decided I could afford to be 10 minutes late getting into work and had a special breakfast with her at a new little bakery/deli/breakfast-and-lunch spot that opened up nearby.
No idea if she’ll remember it, but I know I cherish little moments like that from my childhood so I do what I can to make them for her.
One of the things I didn’t really expect with having a kid is that even without going out of my way to make special memories there are small wonderful moments almost every day.
I MET A CAT OUTSIDE AND WE CUDDLED FOR AN HOUR
The best thing… depending on how I ask I guess. Either the day trip I made to two nearby towns (one of which is a rather well-known tourist spot) on Sunday despite the rainy weather, or the fact that weather rose to 20 C yesterday & was sunny so I made a nice stroll in the city
Hung out with friends, and got out of a bad group project for a class and now I get to do my own project, which will be a lot of work but it’s gonna be fun and its better than having to keep working with the team
Two paid snow days in a row!
I got out of work at 11 AM on Tuesday instead of the normal 2 PM.
My older kid just texted about applying to an internship …… it’s an environmental justice role using his technical skills for an indigenous tribe! WOKE AS HELL, even in this age of dystopia!
