I wish I had gone to MIT. I wish I had applied to go to MIT, so at least I could use the subsequent rejection letter as the reason I didn’t go to MIT. Instead, I was too intimidated to apply. Sucks being dumb.

Except these days most of them charge fees to apply. I’ve already spent like $300 on applications and transcripts and I still haven’t been able to start a masters degree.
Apply after you’ve got a job and you’re making some money. At some point that $300 fee won’t feel like a huge deal. As someone with work experience, perhaps in a related field to what you’re applying to study in, naturally, they’re more likely to accept you. But hey, if it’s a bland enough application, you might still be able to get that rejection letter!
