I noticed an constant increase of myself using the “block community” button. Am i alone in getting fed up with growing numbers of …reddit… Named Post/groups/links?
Couldn’t find a better title than “…reddit…”?
It should be deleted
Strangely it’s not even about Reddit. I was able to go off about “who cares about Reddit, this is Lemmy” but then the post meanders on about communities on the latter for some reason.
I assume they block communities about reddit.
I see nothing wrong with blocking communities. I mostly stick with subs but if I was scrolling “All” I’d be blocking more, I suspect.
What do you mean? Where “Reddit” literally appears in the name of a community?
What instance are they from?
I haven’t noticed, and I feel like I would notice.
My instance is more discerning with federation.
You know you don’t have to always browse “all”? Instead of blocking the things you dislike, you could try adding the things you do like to your personal feed. That’s the way (aha aha) I like it (aha aha).
Sure that’s one way, but browsing all and blocking the shit helps to find new communities.
Browsing all before you’ve started blocking things just feels like youre on Trumps Facebook page and hes updating his profile pic a lot
yeah tons, algo now promotes loads of random subs with random names, sometimes not even sure what the point of the sub is
Nope.
Tons of shitty communities on here that are just horrible content being spammed by a few different accounts. I assume it’s bots.
I’ve seen just a handful of “I know it’s a comment chain from Reddit, but….” posts.
I blocked a ton of them a while back and haven’t seen any since.
Nope. I’ve had
^Redditas one of my regex community filters for some time now.Looked at my blocklist, the ^ should be dropped ;) but thnx for the reminder, I should start using regex filters.
I haven’t noticed, actually o.0
