The threadiverse is small (compared to other major platforms) and I often see usernames that I recognize. How well do we notice each other around here?
I’ll start… my name’s “MrShankles” and I do be commenting/posting from time to time
I do recognize a few names and avatars whose (nuanced and articulated) participation I appreciate… even if we don’t always agree.
But to be honest, most of the time I browse without much consideration for the name of who posted or commented, and it is only after I’ve read a fine post/comment that I will check the user name to see if I know them and if so, what I can recall of our previous exchanges.
The people that get to really irk me they quickly end up being blocked, so I very quickly completely forget about them.

I bet they haven’t fucked even a single shark! For shame…
I mainly recognize PugJesus, SatansMagottyCumFart and like the other two or three lithuanians on here.

I notice a lot of the more prolific posters and commenters, for better or worse. Even more so the ones with distinct avatars since I associate that picture with what they post and my client has avatars on by default.
I recognize kolanki (I doubt I’m spelling it correctly, but the person with the large blue name), pugjesus, the picard maneuver, violet08, that fucking cm0002 with the 5,000 alt accounts, and that’s about it.

I changed it recently. Still kind of a canine, but it is technically a Poon from Atlyss, though the race customizations have dog-like parts I used.
Poon is a very funny name. I really should start Atlyss today.

I recognize a decent number of people, lots of famous frequent posters have already been mentioned but I also tend to remember trolls and people with bad takes.
Never had anyone recognize me (I post and comment sparsely and in short bursts) but I recognize a lot of other names. Most of which I’m sure the average Lemmy user recognizes.
