The Wire explains in each season how crime works.
How each part of society that fails leads to crime flourishing.
When education falls apart, kids have no hope and get into dealing.
When media just wants to sell ads then reporting fails to catch the politicians.
Each facet of failure builds up to a rough life for all.
It may be sometimes slow but it really makes you see the real world for what it is.

It’s gross, it’s wrong, it’s mean, it’s hilarious.
1-12 were golden seasons, 13 is became what they are joking about.

The cracks form quickly in 13, but Time’s Up for the Gang, The gang solves the bathroom problem, and the gang gets new wheels are great.
14 has Paddy’s has a jumper, the gang solves global warming, a woman’s right to chop are good episodes. The others range from meh to always skip.
15 was a total wash.
And from there, I don’t care.

Rewatching this for the nth time right now.
Does a version that doesn’t look like crap exist? Seems like it’s very low res everywhere I can find it, even through the seven seas.
Honestly the one I’m streaming now looks like crap too. I had torrented a really high quality one a couple years ago, so probably on TPB?
I was thinking that I didn’t have one, but Avatar is one of the one’s I rewatched the most, so it has to be up there. It’s probably between that and The Office.

Breaking Bad
I rewatch it ever 2-3 years when it’s been long enough to feel fresh again.
Watching Breaking Bad was an amazing experience that I would recommend everyone do once. However, I don’t think I can ever take that full ride again. It just has too many people being so horrible to themselves and each other.
I will never deny Breaking Bad its accolades but I enjoyed BCS more, overall.
I liked breaking bad but I always felt like it was too dragged out and they could have told the same story over fewer seasons without losing anything. I felt like there was loads of filler episodes where nothing happened
After Gus was killed it definitely wasn’t quite as good, and in particular, the last season felt superfluous.
Walter’s new Nazi pals just weren’t as interesting as villains go.
The Expanse, Fringe, Malcolm in the Middle, Archer, GITS SAC, off the top of my head.
Fringe doesn’t get mentioned enough nowadays
Walter is one if the most dynamic characters in TV history IMO.
John Noble is amazing
I’m a big fan of sci Fi and the expanse does hit a lot of boxes. It’s in my top few as well.
I can definitely rewatch The Expanse every few years.
I’ve tried several times to get into it, but I can’t seem to get over the acting being sort of second rate. It keeps pulling me out of the story.
I’m really hoping they do the Laconia story now that the requisite years have passed. Or at least enough that the actors will look correct.

Watching King of the hill as an adult is a wholenew world

Community, followed by Fringe and then Justified.
Community is my ideal sitcom: weird, experimental, hilarious, and emotional. It was my comfort show for a very long time. My ringtone comes from that show, Professor Professorson’s conspiracy theory ringtone. (Dun dun dunnnnnn)
Fringe is my ideal sci-fi show: weird, far reaching, and is allowed to reach its end.
Justified is my ideal cop show: funny and dark, with a great supporting cast.

Top 5 for me too, but I’d argue it (and Person of Interest) had unfortunately rushed final seasons. Still, gloriously weird, top notch acting, class act writing with some standout moments of utter glory (white tulip, that dandelion poking out to “Only You”, my very favourite thing…). Hmm, shall bump it in my rewatch queue.

I was gonna say Firefly. “Objects in Space” is amazing.
But it’s Ted Lasso, since at least once in every episode it gives me some happy or sad feels and I think we all need to feel the feels.
