Stove doesn’t have 1.5ft clearance on either side, not up to code
Can’t say I’ve ever seen a kitchen stove with 1.5ft of clearance in any home.
I like some electrical codes, despite your fantabulizing, minimizing fire is cool. I used to work in disaster relief and it is so hellish to see families whose homes have been destroyed
Just screw it.
Start with some wine, maybe a back rub. Get it all relaxed and then just slide into it
Unscrew it
Screw it
Bop It™️
twist it
Buy it, use it, break it, fix it, trash it, change it, mail, upgrade it Charge it, point it, zoom it, press it, snap it, work it, quick, erase it Write it, cut it, paste it, save it, load it, check it, quick, rewrite it Plug it, play it, burn it, rip it, drag it, drop it, zip, unzip it

Yeah, you can even screw it back on after!

"The previous owner of this condo screwed a spice rack into the studs. Now I can’t remove my broken refridgerator…
I mean, just unscrew the screws?
I dunno man. Sounds mildly infuriating to have to go get a screwdriver, come back and try unscrewing it only to realize you need a power tool because it is in the studs. Go get the drill, damnit battery is dead. Damnit extra battery is dead because I hardly use this damn thing.
If the battery for your impact driver (not drill, BTW) isn’t shared with a bunch of other tools from the same brand, you’re doing it wrong.
I rely on ratcheting screwdrivers because I won’t be assed over batteries.
You know, that’s true actually - I retract my statement
Maybe it’s just tge perspective, but it looks like you could unscrew it, move the fridge in and then put it back in.
Even that’s not necessary. OP just put the wrong corner in first. Put the left side in first and rotate the right side in.
Probably can’t open the freezer with it in the way, or real close lol
Nah it would still be occupying the same space as the fridge
But why can’t you just remove it? It being mounted into the studs isn’t any different than any other spot, it’s just more secure.
Hint: The top of the fridge can house many more spices than that minishelf
That is also an attractive option. I’m mildly infuriated, after all.
I wouldn’t be tackling drywall work if I were him. Figuring out how to turn screws has completely halted this fridge operation.
Hey I just took a picture and shitposted
Prove that you are able to unscrew it with a picture then!
I’ll post a picture of whatever the outcome is, but I’m not clear on the timing
🩵
Just move the spice bound to a different place?
If you slid the left side of the fridge in first, it would fit fine.
The fridge is 29 and 3/8 deep and the rack is mounted about 28.5 from the wall so no, it won’t fucking fit. I’ll remove the rack, for everybody out there. Or I’ll put the fridge a bit further from the stove
And then just never open the freezer door I guess
It would swing out just fine.
Who’d need that anyway.
I think OP knows they can unscrew it.
That’s probably why it’s only ‘mildly’ infuriating.
The endless stream of repeated “unscrew it” comments is also mildly infuriating.
You mean mildly hilarious
This post is mildly infuriating. Unscrewing it is not even an “easy fix” it’s just plain and simple what you do.
I dunno, it’s kinda weird that they mention it’s “into the studs” as if it makes it a load-bearing spice rack. Just a weirdly irrelevant thing to say, makes me suspicious that OP thinks anything screwed into studs has to stay there forever or the house falls down.
I imagined it was because they wanted to use the fridge as a battering ram to knock it out of the wall or simply rip it down with their bare hands but alas the studs won out.
The only thing mildly infuriating about this post is knowing that fridge would fit. So, I guess, good job! I’m now mildly infuriated.
The fridge is 29 and 3/8 deep and the rack is mounted about 28.5 from the wall so no, it won’t fucking fit. I’ll remove the rack, for everybody out there.
What are they cooking with they need to put that into a stud? Was it common for them to set their tungsten rolling pin atop and then hang their lead apron from the edge? Did they have a recipe that calls for a pinch of neutron star?
Its mounted into TWO studs
Gotta do some pullups on this thing.
Mounting your spice rack to the studs is just sage advice. Otherwise, you’re putting the structural integrity at risk, and if that fails, you’re in for a bad thyme. Trust me, this happened to me once. There was still paprika in my grout when I moved out. And to add salt to the wound, the landlord made me pay for the damage.
Allspice racks mounted tomatoes would require your landlord to cumin to the kitchen to at least approve the modification.
I’ll get my mace.
That must be where they placed the weight of their sins
Putting the oven right up against the fridge is the real problem here. Look at where the hood is.
I have no idea what I’m doing. Please say what you mean.
I know it can lower the lifespan of the fridge, but unsure if there’s more than that!
Thanks I hadnt heard that
Yeah it can, it’s cause it makes the fridge have to do more work to keep the insides cool
No direct damage, but indirectly through making it work much harder for no reason
When I bought my home, the fridge had a big ol burn spot on the side of it from the stove being right next to it lol. That’s probably what people may be referring to. I never use those two burners because of that despite getting a new stove and fridge since moving in just seeing that. Also the refrigerator sides will naturally get hot/warm as they expel heat from normal operations, so putting it next to something that is hot can be somewhat counterproductive for that too. Not going to cause it to overheat, but may not be the best position if you can help it. Kind of like how you wouldn’t want to put a heater positioned near your gaming PC if you want the best possible performance.
Seems extremely efficient to me.
This is more like /mildlyinconvenient.
I don’t see a difference
Which is more mild, and which is more spicy?
You don’t see a difference between mildly inconvenient and mildly infuriating? Oh god, are you my partner?
WTF. Even if the previous occupants had a short fridge, who wants a spice rack over the fridge. Just bizarre
Not bizarre if they kept stuff on top of the (shorter) fridge and within reach that’s used regularly.
Just tilt the fridge backwards before moving it in.
