I kinda wonder if it’s panic at some point. Like they make a fuck up and then start going “maybe this will fix it, maybe this will fix it” and it’s just getting progressively worse but they can’t stop themselves.
I see this with my kids sometimes, without the panic, they see that they’ve messed up a line when painting and they try to fix it but they do the same thing just slightly over, rinse repeat until a 7mm line is now 30mm thick.
Me when I make the eyeliner on one eye too thick…

It lookes like they ruined more than just the face. All the decorations to the right of the face looks different as well.
Like directors cuts and remakes art “restoration” should be banned.
I ALWAYS choose the Director’s Cut. That’s the Director’s real vision, before the studio fucks with it for profit reasons.
