One of the only few people, in the last few years, that truly made things better, even if just for a while.
We should do positive reinforcement anytime Luigi is mentioned. Raise a glass for him, make a statue in his honor, if it is just in your own garden. Create a mural for him. Absolute hero.
May Luigi Mangione be forever happy, for he deserves.

Seeing a whole lot of this on threads he comes up in. And some where he don’t.
Reddit has become as soulless as Meta, Microsoft, … Algorithm serves whoever is in power.
Wish there were less old.reddit posts here. Also…
Luigi for president! One of the only few people, in the last few years, that truly made things better, even if just for a while.
He didn’t do anything, except eat at a McDonalds at the wrong time and vaguely resemble someone on security camera footage.
Conviction via public opinion. That’s exactly why they make a big deal about it. The public are idiots.
With the murder weapon, a manifesto and a signed note saying “i done it”
The official story is amazing.
- Plan crime perfectly, engraved bullets and all with a perfect escape in the middle of New York
- Bring murder weapon and all relevant evidence to McDonalds days later, be snitched on by employee who recognizes you from a grainy half-foto
If he wanted to be caught he wouldn’t have to be snitched on by some random McDonalds employee. If he didn’t want to be caught there’s just no way the official story holds.
I have no opinion one way or the other.
They broke the case ‘Goodfellas’ is based on because someone parked a van full of evidence in an illegal spot.
Copilot Search Branding
The “Goodfellas” Van Parking Incident In the real-life events that inspired Martin Scorsese’s Goodfellas, the infamous Lufthansa heist at JFK Airport on December 11, 1978, ended with a botched getaway that became a cautionary tale in mob history.
The robbery, masterminded by James “Jimmy the Gent” Burke and his crew, including Henry Hill, netted over $5 million in cash and $875,000 in jewelry — the largest single robbery in U.S. history at the time . After the heist, the stolen Ford Econoline van was supposed to be taken to a car compactor in New Jersey for destruction
Instead, Parnell “Stacks” Edwards, the getaway driver, took a detour to his girlfriend’s apartment in Brooklyn. Rather than follow the plan, he parked the van in a no-parking zone in Canarsie, Brooklyn . Police didn’t find it immediately — it was two days later that they located it, and Edwards’ fingerprints were on the vehicle
“According to police”
Police who made these claims after a single driver took the open bag after they initially found nothing, then reappeared with a closed bag and no gloves, then somehow magically they found super bulky items that would not have been able to hide inside the backpack.
The fact that other commenter posted that without a hint of sarcasm tells me they’re either drinking the coolaid, they’re arguing in bad faith, or they’re just plain ignorant and extremely naive. Possibly stupid, but I try to assume ignorance over stupidity. “They caught him with tye murder weapon, a manifesto, and a signed note saying I did it” is something a literal child would think. In fact, I vaguely remember an episode of a children’s TV show where the snitch kid writes a note that says “I did it -TJ” and the teacher used that as an excuse to put TJ in detention for littering and admitting it.
I am absolutely not convinced that Luigi mangione did anything but have a strong chin and dark eyebrows like some guy in a hood on grainy security footage.
That doesn’t make Luigi any less of a martyr to me. The government has made the same mistake many in power have made over the years. They assume bythrowing their weight behind punishment, it will deter future attempts by increasingly desperate populations. Historically, we can see that is never the case for very long, if it works at all.
Yeah im looking at the -4 here and im suspecting my skepticism wasnt evident.
Lol honestly it took me a second, especially with the HUGE post just two comments down detailing the whole situation and calling you a koolaid drinker. But yeah the entire situation is just so incredulous
At least if you make a mural of him it’ll vaguely resemble someone who made things better for a little while.
Make a mural of the shooter.
Not of Mangione, who’s innocent until proven guilty.
Who’s this dude?
Luigi Mangioni ,american hero ,everbody here in Europe knows him ,we support his case
Ok. What did he do?
Watched a movie with me at my house on December 4th, 2024.
Cool! What movie? The Punisher?

Allegedly, killed a bad person. The “allegedly” refers to the idea that Luigi was the killer, not that the dead guy was a bad person.
The only way for society to improve, is for people to be willing to sacrifice their comfort with the goal of improving society. Luigi was willing to sacrifice his comfort for the better of everyone else. The opposite makes a bad person. The dead guy was willing to sacrifice everyone’s comfort for improving his own life. One minimizes suffering. The other maximizes it.
He supposed to have killed UniteDHealthcare Ceo
That’s not the guy though. That was this guy!
What did he make better?
UHC backed off on some of their more egregious profit-increasing changes (including trying not to cover anesthesia over certain arbitrary time limits).
Can’t find a source for it in the quick, but I remember there being a huge set of claims that were expected to be denied by United Healthcare (corporation who’s leader was killed) based on the historical precedence they’d set, but were approved. I want to say that was still going for at least 6 months following the killing, but sounds like they’re ratcheting back to previous practices.
He helped Healthcare CEOs discover their humanity.
Studies showed that his company loosened up denials, and so did all the other health care companies.
For all their whining about it, Conservatives should be excited about this murder, because it’s a perfect representation of their precious Free Market at work.
The health care CEO was pushing his profit policies too far, denying perfectly reasonable claims. His policies pissed off enough customers that it eventually spawned someone angry enough to do something about it. So he eliminated the source of the problem, and the system adjusted for the better to reflect the change, and soothe the angry customers.
The Free Market at work, as it’s supposed to. Whoever did it should be considered a Conservative Economic Hero, but Luigi had nothing to do with it.
This isn’t new. I migrated here last year after a mere mention of “Luigi” earned you a 3 day ban.
Honestly I had no clue they had unbanned saying Luigi at all.
anything that even remotely goes against the interests of reddit will get you banned. you can be banned stating “I’m surprised no one has taken a shot at an ICE agent yet”.
they’ll remove anything that even remotely suggests crime or a potential of a crime. Hell for example the Toronto subreddit will remove any posts linking to news articles about crime in the city and ban the user for posting said article.
I got one of my accounts permabanned for literally typing the words “thatsthejoke.jpeg”
It was in response to a comment on a video about a very tongue and cheek DYI video of someone building a cat tree, clearly in the shape of the two towers but it is never implied in the video, they’re just “wrapping some rope around the boxes so the kitty can grip something” sort of thing.
One of the parts of the video is him hanging a cat toy off the top of one of them. The toy is very clearly a small stuffed plane, but the creator of the video says “We also gotta make sure there’s a cute birdy for them to play with”.
Someone in the comments got all upset and going off saying something about “That’s obviously a plane! Why would he call that a bird?” To which I replied, with literally nothing else as a comment “thatsthejoke.jpeg”.
6 days later I was site wide permabanned for “Inciting violence or hatred against a vulnerable group”.
I’m glad they recognized idiots as a vulnerable group.
I’m celebrating by doing 3 shots on the 4th of December. I’m also drinking a U-boot on June 18th.
Everything get you banned on Reddit. They want to replace everyone with bots.
the innocent dude charged with a crime without evidence? why
The site took a hard stance against “violent content” after their IPO. Saying you think Luigi is innocent or that you agree with what he did will get you a ban for inciting violence. Saying you think punching nazis is a form of self-defense will get you a ban for inciting violence. Posting information about ICE agents is inciting violence.
The site is about circle-jerking to SFW memes and content while bots subtly recommend products and services.
I was permabanned because I lamented a certain bullet didn’t go a fraction of an inch in a different trajectory.
That’s religious discrimination.

Who is that?
