As a dude, I feel way more uncomfortable in just a t-shirt and nothing else than I feel fully naked.

I see this in some character costume designs that show some (not all) skin. Once in a while, they’re barefoot, and the effect is just a free spirit vibe. But, if they have very bare legs, a big thick pair of sneakers or boots draws attention to the legs, making them look more exposed.

Then, just step over a motorcycle and if even that isn’t enough just drive to a highway and speed up to +100 kmh, then you’ll feel naked

For the opposite effect, walk into a room with other naked people and an air temperature above 70°C. Suddenly it’ll be totally fine.

Reminds me of what an EMT once told me. She mentioned that every EMT inevitably learns two very important questions to ask whenever you encounter someone who is naked in public:

    1. Do you know you’re naked?
    2. Do you want to be naked?

Those two questions will shed a lot of light on the current situation, and will let you gauge how the next 15 minutes is going to go.

That makes perfect sense actually. It’s an effective way of asking “are you aware of what’s going on” and “are you intentionally acting in a way that’s socially frowned upon and may be illegal”.

I remember getting an episode/panic attack/whatever that was. For solid 5-10 minutes, I felt like boiling from the inside and sweat started to drip from my forehead. I stripped naked and felt more comfortable that way till it passed. Thankfully I was alone, so no awkward experience.

Ever since I was a kid I, and other men, have had to occasionally remind women that if the air conditioning is too cold then can they please just put on a sweater because there’s only so much clothing we can remove before we either run out of options or somebody calls the cops.
