I’m old, I’m fat, I’m lazy. I don’t want to have to put my foot up on my knee twice as often.
Sock > shoe > sock > shoe
It’s sock sock pants shoe shoe. No way would I don my shoes before donning my pants.
That’s how I do skinny jeans. Otherwise the socks aren’t getting on all the way

Who wears socks? Flipflops for life. Kick 'em off as you get into bed, slide 'em on as you get up. Same for the shower.
Oh wait, some of you have too much weather. Do as you want, then. But do have easily-donned foot protection at bedside in case of emergency.
Too much weather is certainly an apt description of the majority of North America.
Yep, I moved away from SoCal for awhile, had my fill and came back.
We call those slippers. I prefer a full heeled slipper with a fuzzy inside.
I prefer bare toes, sparkles, and a thick foam sole with arch support. Enjoy your fuzzy feet.
Who wears flips flops inside the house? Just go bare feet inside, much better for your feet,.
My flipflops have a steel shank for support, (Skechers) without them my plantar fascitis flares up.
Sandal, sandal. I don’t like my feet to be hot.
Sandal people unite!
Sock sock sandal sandal
Sandal sandal sock sock
on the same foot
You monster!
So I had read about this and at the time was equally enraged on the thought of doing sock shoe sock shoe. And then suddenly, without even noticing, one day I just started doing it. It happened maybe like 3 times before I noticed and now it’s just my default because it feels better I guess? Granted, I don’t do it much as I generally loathe wearing socks, but I’ve come to accept as something I now do.
Same for me, except it was for shaving.

Sock-shoe-Sock-shoe-pants.
Sock-shoe-pant, sock-shoe-pant
This one right here officer, lock em up!
No underwear, nice!
I know this is a joke but I still do this when wearing a suit with creased pants. Let’s you do up your laces and if you’re tucking the shirt you need to undo the trousers anyway. Keeps them looking crisp, at least when it’s an event you change into the suit right before.
I’d actually be interested in seeing socks-pants vs pants-socks
I’m generally about to put both on anyway, just putting the sock on is half a job
Sock > shoe > sock > shoe > underwear > pants > shirt.
P.S. why does naked except for shoes and socks feel MORE naked then just naked?
You put your shoes on before your pants? That’s maniacal
why does naked except for shoes and socks feel MORE naked
Because it implies you will also be somewhere you need foot protection.
It reminds you that the rest of you is naked.
So does a hat go at the beginning, or between shoe->underwear?
Between first and second sock-shoe perhaps?
Are you implying I’m ever now wearing the sombrero?
Socks and shoes only gives you the feeling that you’re going to go places while naked
Hopefully not jogging. hurp
That’s alright, I’m cycling to work. But it’s alright no one’s going to see anything I’ve got a really long tie.
Mine is wipe bare foot, sock, shoe, tie. Then repeat, wipe, sock, shoe, tie. I wipe my feet before work because im barefooted through my house over carpet(ew) in a house with 5 animals. And i unlace and retie my shoes everyday instead of keeping them tied forcing my foot in.
Well, when I’m sleeping it’s definitely “soooooock shooooooe. sooooooock shooooooe”

My socks are in my bedroom and my shoes are by the door because I’m not a savage who tracks shit into my home. Am I supposed to just carry socks around while I get my shit together to go out?
I’m barefoot cause house is where no shoes. I wear socks cause I wear shoes, and for no other reason. Why I would put them on before I’m leaving?
You must live in a warm area, have a very well isolated house, or have heating in the floor. If I’d do they here for 70% of the year my feet will be way too cold to be comfortable
Nah, bruv. I live in a cold place. But I’ve got the no socks 'tism
Socks+rugs and carpets make cold floor a non-issue, and it now gets to -40 for a week or so every winter here so I certainly wouldn’t call it a warm place (though most summers it’ll get as high as 90F at 100% humidity)
My sister does sock-shoe to limit the amount of dog hair on the sock.
but any dog hair on the sock is dog hair i don’t have to vacuum up.
But then it gets in the shoes.
It always did bother me a little the the inside of shoes is basically impossible to clean well. The best you can do is throw them in the washer if they’re not made of leather and that still doesn’t do well.
But the inside of my shoes is a lost cause :) Hell the Roomba looked at me yesterday and said “I’m Tired Boss”
If the inside is leather you can wipe them out with a damp cloth
ouside leather, inside open cell foam and fabric bacteria soup.
I do the same, but to limit dog hair building up in my workout shoes. I’m also technically swapping from one pair of socks to another, so my workout socks never actually touch the floor.
The trick is limiting the amount of dog that loses hair. This process takes time.
